Eyes and Lips

what if lips weren’t dams
and eyes weren’t weapons

my lips and my eyes
organs of blood and tears
and flesh

open yet firm
a smile for me
a smile for you
and a kiss for you
waiting here for you
and a look
longing for you.

moistened eyes
taste the breeze
fragrantly humid
with you

I find my tongue
think of it brushing tips with yours
and still manage
to say the words
"Hello. You are looking good."
Upon my lips is a kiss for you,
but I manage to smile.
my eyes are open like an embrace
my heart races
and my lips inflate
still I manage
a soft,
for you.
Eyes and Lips
